1. Duke goes down.

Unbeaten Duke headed to Arlotta to meet a scorching hot Notre Dame on Saturday, and the Fighting Irish came to play. Morrison Mirer dropped four goals and Notre Dame held Michael Sowers scoreless in a 13-8 victory. Kevin Corrigan became the all-time Division I wins leader at one program.

Also on Saturday, Virginia’s offense outdueled North Carolina 18-16, Army cruised past Loyola, Drexel upset Delaware, Georgetown got past a test from Marquette and Ohio State swept Johns Hopkins.

2. North Carolina women got their toughest test of 2021, and survived.

Notre Dame held the Tar Heels to a season-low 11 goals (a number matched on Feb. 19) at a rainy Arlotta Stadium.

3. Big Ten women’s lacrosse just got more interesting.

Penn State dominated Maryland on Sunday to complete and season sweep, and Johns Hopkins followed with a win over Rutgers. Catch up on the changing standings in the Sunday wrap.

4. San Diego State made history at the Coliseum on Friday night.

Bailey Brown scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Aztecs their first win over USC in program history. Also in overtime (triple OT), Bea Behrins kept Denver unbeaten in Big East play against UConn.

5. Big wins in the America East and CAA.

Albany used a major fourth quarter to get past UMBC on Sunday, while Hofstra won a thriller over UMass thanks to Justin Lynskey and Riley Forte.
