Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The latest story from our partnership with Blaxers Blog is here.
Brian Simpkins wrote about his roots in the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and how lacrosse has helped him connect to his ancestors. He wrote the piece as a reaction to the tumultuous past few months for the Iroquois Nationals.
“I fully understood the Haudenosaunee’s feeling of rejection and advocated for their inclusion in The World Games,” he wrote. “As a result of their initial exclusion, the lacrosse community turned its outrage into an outpouring of unilateral solidarity for Indigenous lacrosse appreciation and inclusion.”

2. Former Tufts football and lacrosse coach Rich Beal has died.
Beal was coached Tufts men’s lacrosse from 1996-1999. He died unexpectedly Monday at 57.
3. Inside Lacrosse polled college coaches about the likelihood of a spring season.
The overall results were that there is “moderate” optimism for the spring. Of the women’s coaches who responded, 61 percent were moderately confident. Men’s coaches were 63 percent confident.
