2. Danielle Spencer is aiming to carry Stanford’s championship legacy to lacrosse.

Stanford ranks as one of the top schools in the nation. It’s athletic program is a model for all-around success that others envy. That mixture is helping to lure some of the best players in the country to California.

3. A new era begins at Johns Hopkins.

Legendary head coach Janine Tucker has retired, but she’s just a phone call away as new coach Tim McCormack looks to build on the success she established.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• Nick Myers has Nate Brunner and Oliva Tzagournis to his men’s lacrosse staff at Ohio State. Brunner will be a volunteer assistant coach and Tzagournis will be the director of events for both the men’s and women’s lacrosse programs.

• Former star player Bria Braddock is the new head coach at Westminster University in Pennsylvania.

• Caitlyn Villareal Kenahan has been named as the head women’s lacrosse coach at Embry-Riddle University after serving as the interim head coach at the school since August.
