Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The IWCLA has named three coaches to its 2018 Hall of Fame class. Pat Genovese, Gillian Rattray, and Sue Tyler will join the IWLCA Hall of Fame at an induction ceremony on Nov. 15 at Disney’s Coronado Springs in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Genovese led William Smith to a 385-158-1 record that included 29 winning seasons, 16 NCAA Championship bids, 11 national semifinal appearances, and five NCAA championship games. Rattray coached the Penn State women’s lacrosse team from 1974-85, compiling a 143-19-3 career record and three consecutive USWLA National Championships from 1978-1980.

Tyler started the women’s lacrosse programs at both Cornell and Maryland and posted a career record of 196-71-3. She led Maryland to the AIAW championship in 1981 and the NCAA Championship 1986

2. The NLL is coming to Halifax.

News broke early on Thursday that Rochester Knighthawks owner Curt Styres was moving the team to Halifax, the long-rumored location of the next NLL franchise. The Halifax NLL team will begin playing in the 2019-2020 season at Scotiabank Centre.

Rochester, though, won't be without an indoor lacrosse team. Later on Thursday, the league announced that the Pegula Sports and Entertainment Group will take over an expansion franchise in Rochester. 

No word on whether the new Rochester team will retain the Knighthawks branding and history. The Halifax team is leaving it up to fans to decide the team name, although the Halifax Privateers is trademarked by the league.

• The Colorado Mammoth signed Rochester Knighthawks veteran Brad Self to a one-year deal.

• Inside Lacrosse names its Top 40 incoming men’s lacrosse midfielders as part of its Recruiting Issue.

• Lax All Stars launches its new women’s lacrosse podcast, Outside the Eight.

• McDonogh star Julia Dorsey is ready for her senior year before she heads to North Carolina to play both soccer and lacrosse.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

Dave Smith, a member of the Provincial Parliament for the Peterborough Kawartha Riding, gave a shoutout to his hometown Lakers for winning the Mann Cup.
