1. Marie McCool helped North Carolina win a national championship in 2016, but it was her love for soccer that initially attracted her to the school. Some cool facts on McCool, who will help lead the U.S. women during next weekend’s USA Lacrosse Fall Classic.

2. Family and friends of former Hobart player Sean Fox will hold a celebration of life for him this weekend while helping to raise funds for a new scholarship in his name that will benefit Harlem Lacrosse students interested in attending Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Sean Fox epitomized what it meant to live a service-oriented lifestyle. It so happened that his life was rooted in lacrosse.

3. Two American Boy Fall Brawl lacrosse events will help raise funds for addicts and their families.

• Northwestern has announced that veterans Brennan Dwyer, Lauren Gilbert, Jill Girardi and Ally Palermo will use their extra year of eligibility and return for the 2022 Northwestern women's lacrosse season. 

• Inside Lacrosse checks in with Gettysburg men’s lacrosse fall ball. The Bullets are now led by Peter Toner, a former gold-medal winning assistant coach for the U.S. mens’ U19 team.
