Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. US Lacrosse and coach Jenny Levy announced the U.S. women’s national team roster for this month’s Fall Classic in Sparks, Md.

Veteran names like Michelle Tumolo, Taylor Cummings, Marie McCool, Kylie Ohlmiller and Kayla Treanor will suit up against Canada and NCAA champion Maryland on Oct. 18-20 at US Lacrosse headquarters.

Also included on the roster are former Boston College stars Sam Apuzzo and Dempsey Arsenault, as well as 2019 Tewaaraton winner Megan Taylor.

2.  The MLL playoffs are here.

The Atlanta Blaze will play in their first MLL playoff game tonight, thanks to two recent Towson grads that have played a big role in getting the franchise there.

Alex Woodall, the first pick in the 2019 MLL Draft who relocated to Atlanta after the Ohio Machine folded, and Brendan Sunday have been solid contributors on a team that is peaking at the right time. The Blaze take on the top-seeded Chesapeake Bayhawks at 7 p.m. ET.

As for the other playoff matchup, the No. 3 Boston Cannons will battle the No. 2 Denver Outlaws at 10 p.m. ET.

3. Kara Ariza Cooke almost chose soccer as the sport she’d pursue long term.

But high school coach and U.S. legend Kathleen Geiger saw a skillset that could make Ariza Cooke a star. With her coaches as inspiration, Ariza Cooke starred in high school, in college at Virginia and with the U.S. national team. Now, she's a Hall of Famer.

4. Remember when Syracuse and Duke went at it on a high school field last season?

The Orange will head back to Cicero-North Syracuse High School for two games next season due to Carrier Dome renovations, according to syracuse.com. No dates were announced, except that the games will happen after March 1.
