Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. LaxCon is going virtual.

The 2021 US Lacrosse Convention, annually the sport’s largest educational and professional networking opportunity, will be conducted entirely online Jan. 15-16, US Lacrosse announced Thursday. Attendees can view keynotes in real-time, build their own agenda from relevant on-demand content and interact with others informally in private chat spaces.

Registration will open by the beginning of November.

2. NPR picked up the Iroquois Nationals story.

In a “Morning Edition” segment, Lyle Thompson said the initial exclusion of the sport’s originators from The World Games 2022 “boiled my blood.” The segment also covered Ireland’s withdrawal from the event, which helped pave the way for the Iroquois to be included in the tournament, which will be July 7-17, 2022 in Birmingham, Ala.

3. Duke’s Nakeie Montgomery was featured Thursday in the latest installment of US Lacrosse Magazine’s “5-and-5” series.

Montgomery, a senior midfielder who figures to play a large role for a loaded Blue Devils team in the spring, is all about flash  It’s no surprise that his all-time favorite athletes have a thing for flair, too.

4. Delaware State’s Pamella Jenkins spoke to Blaxers Blog’s Brian Simpkins about her hope that more historically black colleges add the sport and that more women of color get into coaching.

Simpkins’ story about Jenkins’ path to trailblazer status is the latest in a content partnership between Blaxers Blog and US Lacrosse Magazine.
