Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Division I women’s lacrosse is coming to the University of Pittsburgh. The school announced Thursday that it will add women’s lacrosse as a varsity sport, with the Panthers playing as a Division I program by 2021-22.

Pitt will join the ACC, a conference that has featured its fair share of national championship contenders. It will hire a head coach sometime shortly after the 2019 season.

As for a potential men’s program, there are no plans. But we can "never say never."

2. Negotiations between the NLL and the PLPA will continue into training camp. With players pledging not to participate in training camps until a new Collective Bargaining Agreement is in place between the two sides, the Toronto Rock postponed this weekend’s on-floor training and exhibition with the Georgia Swarm.

The PLPA released a statement via Twitter on Wednesday saying that conversations will continue with the NLL, but the players will not participate until an agreement is in place.

The PLPA is negotiating with the NLL for an increase in compensation — especially with the addition of two new teams to the league — as well as an additional roster spot, bus travel, free agency, season length and the number of games.

3. The WPLL announced Thursday that it will send 15 players to Japan on November 7-12 as part of a four-day tour to showcase high-level women’s lacrosse.

The tour will includes clinics for youth, middle school, and college-aged players, a game against Team CrosseCrosse Japan, and a draft camp for players interested in being drafted to the WPLL.

Among those traveling to Japan: Kylie Ohlmiller, Dana Dobbie and 2017 U.S. gold medalists Brooke Griffin and Meg Douty.
