Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. US Lacrosse announced Thursday a set of return-to-play recommendations to assist the lacrosse community in following the appropriate steps to mitigate the risk for all participants in the COVID-19 environment.

The recommendations were developed by a medical advisory committee, chaired by Dr. Eugene Hong, chair of the US Lacrosse Sport Science & Safety Committee. They follow a five-stage process that will vary regionally based on recommendations and allowances from local and state public health authorities. Each of the five stages represent a progression that allow for further activity as public health conditions warrant.

2. Phil Shore’s list of the top 20 players in Major League Lacrosse history is down to the top five. US Lacrosse Magazine unveiled unveiled Nos. 10-6 in the countdown Thursday, naming Lee Zink, Mark Millon, Greg Cattrano, Ryan Powell and Rob Pannell. The top five, including Shore’s pick for No. 1, will be revealed today.

3. Lacrosse coaches are getting creative while spending time in quarantine, writes Nelson Rice. In the absence of X’s and O’s, they’re focusing on family and mental preparation.

4. Cobie Cree and Yanenowi Logan were elected by the Tewaaraton Foundation as the 2020 recipients of the Tewaaraton Native American Scholarships, presented by US Lacrosse. They will be recognized along with the next year’s recipients at the 2021 Tewaaraton Award annual ceremony as this year’s event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

5. The Canadian Lacrosse Association canceled all 2020 national championships, including the Mann Cup and Minto Cup series, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
