Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The Tewaaraton Award announced its 2019 finalists last night in Washington D.C. Reigning winner Sam Apuzzo, an attacker from Boston College, headlined the list of women’s finalists for the 2019 Tewaaraton Award and Loyola’s Pat Spencer was named a finalist for the third straight year on the men’s side.
2. Robert Morris has won eight straight games to advance to its first NCAA men’s lacrosse tournament. The Colonials don’t want it to be a cameo performance.
3. James Madison won the NCAA championship in 2018 and is currently riding a nine-game winning streak. Stony Brook has won 11 straight. They meet today in College Park, Md., to highlight a 10-game NCAA Division I women’s slate.
4. Virginia’s Ryan Conrad missed the Cavaliers 2018 NCAA tournament appearance following a mid-season knee injury. That’s made everything about 2019 even sweeter for the ACC tournament MVP.
5. If you want to feel good, just look at this video from Baltimore’s Cristo Rey High School.
It's not how you start, but how you finish. Amazing celebration by @cristoreybalt boys' lacrosse team after season-ending victory yesterday. The team had gone 0-51 the last four years. pic.twitter.com/fyG8IBZ3x1

6. Four teams that have combined to win four of the last five US Lacrosse Women’s Collegiate Associates (WCLA) national championships make up the Division I. No. 1 Pitt, No. 2 BYU, No. 5 Michigan and No. 6 Delaware advanced after Thursday’s quarterfinals in Virginia Beach.
7. Top-seeded Cal beat No. 4 seed Georgia Tech 13-12 in overtime in the MCLA Division I semifinals on Thursday and South Carolina knocked off Chapman 15-12. South Carolina becomes the first SELC to reach the MCLA championship game.
8. The top three seeds — Savannah College of Art & Design, Benedictine and Cumberlands — advanced to the NAIA women’s semifinals in Grand Rapids, Mich., while No. 5 seed Keiser beat Indiana Tech 17-9. The semifinals are today.

One of the happiest teams on Selection Sunday was the Johns Hopkins women’s lacrosse team. After missing out on qualifying for the Big Ten tournament – which it hosted – the Blue Jays were one of the final at-large selections for the NCAA tournament – which it will host the final two rounds of. Giacolone's U.S. U19 teammate Miranda Ibello is interviewed.
Remember that reaction video from Sunday?? Let's hear from @mirandaibello as she talked with @FOXBaltimore's @MorganAdsit about the team's mindset heading into the Selection Show and the possibility of playing another game on Homewood Field! #GoHop pic.twitter.com/YUoSdBqOcS
