Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The Tewaaraton Foundation announced Thursday its first round of additions to its watch lists, including 10 men and 10 women.
“We’ve seen an amazing, action-packed start to the 2019 season, and these players have clearly jumped out as deserving to be on our 2019 Watch Lists,” said Jeffrey Harvey, chairman of the Tewaaraton Foundation.

2. The Griffins led No. 2 Maryland women to a 17-6 rout of Penn State on Thursday.
Brindi Griffin recorded one goal and five assists, while Grace Griffin had four goals and one assist. The Terps went down 3-1 early, but posted a dominant 10-2 second half to go 9-0 on the season.
Michigan women’s lacrosse also remains undefeated with a 15-10 win over Ohio State. Adriana Pendino’s five goals led the Wolverines, who also controlled the draw 19-8.
3. Learn the power of play.
Brett Klika, author of US Lacrosse resource "60 Ways to Play," touts free play even in structured settings. The earlier such activities can be introduced in an athlete’s life, the better.
Plus, US Lacrosse’s Lacrosse Athlete Development Model has yielded early returns in Michigan thanks to Chip Carlson.
“Let’s use the tool the [national governing body] has provided and focus on making it fun for the kids,” Carlson said. “If it’s fun for them, they’re going to keep coming back.”
