Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. We’re proud to welcome the Syracuse and Harvard women’s lacrosse teams to Tierney Field at US Lacrosse headquarters to kick off the weekend with a game this afternoon at 2 p.m. One of the key upgrades to Syracuse this year has been the addition of former Syracuse All-American goalie Matt Palumb as a volunteer coach, helping the development of sophomore Asa Goldstock.

2. Duke’s offense has been led by Justin Guterding this year, but the Blue Devils got a major boost from the midfield tandem of Brad Smith and Peter Conley in last week’s win over Loyola. Duke returns to Baltimore this weekend to face Towson.

3. Virginia doesn’t want to think about the streak, 17 straight games without an ACC win heading into Saturday’s game at Notre Dame, but a bigger issue is adjusting to life after the dynamic Ryan Conrad was injured and lost for the season.

The loss of Ryan Conrad to a season-ending injury has caused issues for Virginia, particularly on faceoffs due to his oustanding tenacity as a wing player. The Cavaliers head to Notre dame looking for their first ACC regular season win since 2014.

4. Georgetown is one of just three unbeaten NCAA Division I men’s teams left (Albany and Vermont – who meet on Saturday – are the others), giving the 6-0 Hoyas the school’s best start since 2003. Georgetown visits Drexel this weekend.

5. Some of the nation’s premier NCAA Division III men’s lacrosse teams will be at Stevenson this weekend for the Mustang Classic, including No. 4 York and its “Conehead” attack.
