Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Stony Brook named former Towson offensive coordinator Anthony Gilardi as its next head coach, first reported by Inside Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders.

Gilardi has served on Shawn Nadelen’s Towson staff for nine seasons, leading offensive talents like Joe Seider and Ryan Drenner. Matt Danowski and Ryan Wellner were considered finalists, according to Xanders.

2. Williams at No. 1 in our Way-Early Division III Men’s Top 20? Yes, it’s true. Before you get up in arms, hear us out.

The Ephs, who went 18-4 with their first trip to a national semifinal and a NESCAC final, return most of the roster that succeeded in 2019. Check out the rest of the Way-Early top 5 which includes a few perennial powers.

3. Guess who’s back, back again?

Scott Rodgers, the former Notre Dame goalie who now plays for the PLL’s Atlas LC, will be active this weekend in Baltimore. Rodgers was hospitalized with pancreatitis after PLL training camp last month and has been recovering ever since.

Catch Rodgers’ lacrosse story in Overtime.

4. The Dallas Rattlers won with culture from 2014 to 2018 — a successful run that included four playoff appearances and three trips to the MLL title game. With much of its core gone to the PLL, the Rattlers have had to start a new foundation.

Despite a slow start on the field, Dallas feels good about the chemistry that is growing in its locker room.

5. The Milwaukee Area Youth Lacrosse Association is providing a point of entry for kids to learn the game of lacrosse in Southeast Wisconsin.

6. Meet the Jersey Girls Lacrosse Association, which prides itself on being the largest girls-only youth lacrosse organization in the country.
