Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The Big East announced its 2019 television schedule, including nine games on FOX and CBS.

The men’s slate features seven games and opens April 6 with Denver hosting Villanova on CBS Sports Network.

Two women’s games – Georgetown-Maryland and the conference championship – will be aired on FS1 and FS2.

2. Jamaica and Peru were granted full membership from the FIL, the federation announced Thursday

Peru was first accepted into the FIL in 2012 and Jamaica followed one year later. There are now 62 member-national federations worldwide.

3. It’s time for Tehoka Nanticoke to shine at Albany as the Great Danes look to keep rolling despite graduating four All-Americans and TD Ierlan transferring to Yale.

They enter 2019 ranked at No. 17 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Men’s Preseason Top 20.

“It’s always tough to see great players leave your program,” coach Scott Marr said. “It’s hard for me to turn the page. But when you recruit the younger guys — it’s their time.

4. Virginia is hoping to go further this year after navigating a tough schedule, coming in at No. 17 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Women’s Preseason Top 20.

Its 23 consecutive trips to the NCAA tournament are not good enough for coach Julie Myers.

“We want to make it deeper into May,” Myers said. “It definitely makes for a long summer when you get knocked out early.”

5. The 2019 season is on the horizon! Practices are officially underway for some teams. Check out the sights:
