Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Ian McKay, the 2016 America East Offensive Player of the Year who redshirted last season due to an injury, opened his senior year with four goals as Vermont kicked off the 2018 college lacrosse season with a 12-6 victory at Furman. Another Canadian, freshman Liam Limoges, had three goals and an assist for the Catamounts.
2. Three-time U.S. World Cup veteran and nine-time NCAA champion Kelly Amonte Hiller has been selected as the new U.S. U19 women’s team head coach.
3. With the NCAA championship being played in its home stadium, 2018 is a year of high hopes for the No. 2 Stony Brook women.
4. The elephant in the room is gone after Maryland won its first NCAA men’s lacrosse championship since 1975. Now the Terps might steal a line from their archrival – “We want more.”

5. Tom Schreiber has been anointed with the “Captain America” nickname by the Toronto Rock. His 12-point performance last week has many wondering just how good he can become.
6. The digital version of our February issue – featuring our college previews – is now available.
7. From the Inside Lacrosse Industry Summit, a podcast on diversity and inclusion in the sport, including former St. Bonaventure goalie, college coach and current US Lacrosse Senior Manager of Diversity and Inclusion, Eboni Preston Laurent.
