Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Drew Snider is one of the best players to ever come out of the West, from being a captain at Maryland to a successful pro career that included four championships across the MLL and PLL and a gold medal with the 2018 U.S. team. On Thursday, he announced he’s retiring from his professional playing career.
From Washington to winning gold, @dsnides23 has done it all.

2. There were just two games on the Division I schedule yesterday. Navy’s women’s lacrosse team improved to 2-0 with a 14-8 victory over George Mason and Niagara opened its season with an 11-10 win at Stetson.
3. Boston College’s offense, and Charlotte North in particular, gets most of the attention, but head coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein thinks her defense should get more credit.
4. Michigan is off to a 2-0 start in men’s lacrosse heading into this weekend’s game against Holy Cross. Reaping the benefits of a real preseason, the Wolverines have scored 43 goals in their first two games.
5. Marissa Mills was on the cover of the April 2011 issue of Lacrosse Magazine as part of one of the most dominant NCAA Division II teams ever at Adelphi. She’s back on Long Island now, coaching at Molloy College.
In 2011, Marissa Mills was part of an @Adelphiwlax dynasty. That April, she was one of the first Black female players to grace our cover.
