Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:

1. Let the games begin.

The 2022-23 National Lacrosse League season opens tonight with a nationally televised game. Halifax plays at Philadelphia at 6 p.m. (Eastern) in a game carried on ESPNEWS. A look at the opening week matchups.

2. Brother – sister – national champions.

Alyssa and Kyle Long each got to celebrate perfect national championships last spring with North Carolina and Maryland. Justin Feil caught up with them for our #BestOfLax rewind.

3. Lax Sports Network has a new name.

In January 2016, Lax Sports Network launched as the first 24-7 live and original content broadcasting network devoted to the sport of lacrosse. Now it’s got a new name – LacrosseTV.

4. K.J. Adams is breaking out.

Kansas men's basketball player K.J. Adams, previously a lacrosse player at Westlake (Texas) High School, is emerging for the nationally-ranked Jayhawks. Adams has started all nine games for Kansas and had 11 points, three assists and three steals last night in a blowout win over Seton Hall, including this dunk.

  • South Florida won’t play its first varsity women’s lacrosse game until 2024, but the Bulls are already off and running.
