Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:

1. Flash flood and tornado warnings altered Thursday’s Athletes Unlimited schedule.

With two games originally scheduled for the evening, one game (Team Moreno vs. Team Johansen) was pushed to Friday morning at 8 a.m. Team Apuzzo was able to play Team Colson late in the night, and Sam Apuzzo stayed undefeated this summer with a come-from-behind 11-8 win.

Team Apuzzo trailed 7-5 at halftime, but four goals apiece from Alex Aust Holman (the game MVP) and Lauren Gilbert aided the comeback.

The sides were tied at 8 after three quarters, and Aust Holman’s goal with 6:37 remaining proved to be the difference.

2. The PLL Throwback Jerseys are coming to Denver this weekend.

All eight clubs will wear newly designed mesh uniforms that give off early pro lacrosse vibes.

3. Mercer men’s lacrosse is set to hire Ryan Danehy as its next head coach.

Inside Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders broke the news on Twitter Thursday night. Danehy was most recently Bucknell’s offensive coordinator.

Breaking: @MercerLacrosse is set to hire former @Bucknell_MLAX OC Ryan Danehy as the Bears’ next head coach, sources tell @Inside_Lacrosse. Joining the Bison in 2018, Danehy spent time with Penn, Michigan and Dartmouth (C/O ‘06) in addition to pro, club & international roles.

4. The Oakland Lacrosse story.

Oakland Lacrosse is breaking down barriers for one of the most diverse and socially conscious areas in the country. Matt Hamilton went to Oakland to see firsthand the impact that the organization’s leaders are making.
