Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. It’s Izzy Scane’s world. We’re just living in it.

Scane, the 2019 U.S. U19 women’s team gold medalist scoring at a record-setting pace for Northwestern this season, appeared on “The Stick Drop” with Sheehan Stanwick Burch on Thursday and then backed up her hype with an eight-goal, three-assist performance in the undefeated Wildcats’ 21-14 victory over Ohio State.

No. 2 Northwestern (10-0) eclipsed 20 goals for the fifth straight game. Scane (64 goals, 17 assists) is averaging more than six goals and eight points per game. The Wildcats trailed 10-8 early in the second half before going on a nine-goal binge. In other women’s lacrosse action Thursday:

• No. 8 Duke snapped a three-game losing streak, holding off No. 18 Louisville 12-10 in Kentucky. Sophia LeRose made 13 of her career-high 14 saves in the second half. The Blue Devils (7-5, 3-5 ACC) trailed 10-9 before scoring the last three goals to win.

• No. 9 Maryland rode its seniors to a Senior Day victory over Rutgers. They combined for nine of the Terps’ 14 goals in a 14-12 win over the pesky Scarlet Knights in College Park. Maryland improved to 6-3. Redshirt senior defender Lizzie Colson was the star of the game, finishing with career highs of seven ground balls and six caused turnovers. The game was tied with less than four minutes remaining. Sophomore Shayla Ahearn scored the go-ahead goal on a free position with 3:59 left and senior Brindi Griffin iced it with her third goal of the game.

2. The No. 10-ranked Syracuse men put the clamps on Albany’s high-powered offense to defeat the Great Danes 13-8 at the Carrier Dome on Thursday. Orange defenseman Grant Murphy caused five turnovers and the faceoff platoon of Jakob Phaup, Danny Varello and Jack Savage combined to go 15-for-25 five days after they were dominated in a loss to Notre Dame. Syracuse (5-3, 1-2 ACC) went on a four-goal run midway through the second quarter and never trailed after that, outshooting Albany 50-30.

3. The IWLCA is one of four college women’s sports coaches associations calling for comprehensive review of gender inequities between men’s and women’s sports at the NCAA and on campuses. The disparity in accommodations for the NCAA basketball tournaments appeared to be the impetus for a statement issued jointly Thursday. “Gender equity has been a focus of women's coaches for years without the NCAA listening,” said Liz Robertshaw, executive director of the IWLCA. “It is time.”
