Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The PLL dropped news twice on Thursday.

First, the league announced another location, San Jose, to its 2019 schedule. The league will visit Avaya Stadium, home of the MLS’ San Jose Earthquakes, from Aug. 10-11.

An to top it off, the league revealed its Week 1 schedule for Gillette Stadium. In the inaugural PLL game, the Chrome will take on the Archers on June 1 at 1 p.m. Here’s the full schedule.

JUNE 1

1 p.m.- Archers vs. Chrome

4 p.m.- Whipsnakes vs. Chaos

JUNE 2

2 p.m. - Atlas vs. Redwoods

2. For Isaiah Skidders, Lyle Thompson was an idol — a light for the Native community. He hopes he can one day be a voice with the power of Thompson. However, the IMG Academy senior must deal with ignorance while playing the sport his people created.

Skidders shares his perspective in the What It Means to be Native Series.

Also out on Thursday, Albany’s Ivy Santana opens up about the issues her community faces and the stereotypes that come with them.

"Someone crashed his car drinking & driving. ... I know of kids that started smoking when they were 12,” she said. “Every other weekend we have someone overdosing. When are people going to open their eyes & say enough is enough?"

3. Bill Tierney is reflecting on win No. 400 — one that took a little longer than anticipated to achieve. After falling to Princeton in his homecoming game, Tierney made sure his team was ready for the next test in Georgetown.

Now, he’s the second men’s Division I coach to reach the 400-win mark.

Also in the Division I men’s notebook, Rutgers turning the corner, UMBC finding success at the faceoff x and more.

4. Lynchburg has been a mainstay atop the ODAC standings in recent years, often carrying a hot streak into the NCAA playoffs in May. The Hornets are hoping to catch fire again come next month and make another run toward an NCAA title.

In the Division III men’s notebook, Amherst’s surprise FOGO and Stevens dominating in Empire 8 play.

5. Penn State and Stanford were victorious in a pair of women’s Division I games on Thursday night. Maria Auth dropped six goals to lead the Nittany Lions past Ohio State 21-5, while Ali Baiocco and Mikaela Watson scored four times to help Stanford down San Diego State 18-9.
