Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1.  North Carolina just keeps rolling. The No. 1 ranked Tar Heels beat No. 16 Virginia 17-7 behind four goals and eight draw controls from Ally Mastroianni and a suffocating defense. The Tar Heels are 14-0 and close out the regular season hosting Duke next Thursday night.

In other women’s games on Thursday, the top four teams in the Atlantid 10 — Davidson, Massachusetts, Richmond and Saint Joseph’s — posted wins to further separate themselves from the pack.

2. With its NCAA tournament hopes in serious jeopardy, No. 12 Duke got huge performances from Brennan O’Neill and Mike Adler in a 17-8 win over No. 4 Virginia.

3. We’re thrilled to welcome Beth Ann Mayer to our team at USA Lacrosse and she penned her first story for us yesterday — a look at the unusual path to college lacrosse by Stony Brook’s Clare Levy.

4. Vanderbilt’s Cailin Bracken posted a thoughtful and powerful essay last week and this week she found herself on Good Morning America.

5. Years, decades, in the making, Albany final got the chance to host Syracuse in men’s lacrosse. Nothing was going to take away from that moment.

6. Ohio State’s women’s lacrosse program has been surging and Chloë Johnson has been a big part of the reason why.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• She can play lacrosse, but that’s not all she can do. Georgetown’s LizaBanks Campagna has found a place in the Washington D.C. comedy scene. From our April print edition.

• Four goals in a game is a pretty nice effort. How about four goals in 40 seconds? Roberts Wesleyan’s Madison bell did just that.

• Blaze Riorden will be back in Albany this weekend as the Philadelphia Wings battle the Albany FireWolves. But he’ll be in a spot Albany fans aren’t used to seeing him.
