Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Ohio State and Rutgers women pick up crucial wins on Thursday.

Ohio State was taken to the brink against Louisville, but Lindsay Epstein’s game-winning goal as time expired in double overtime sealed the 13-12 victory for the Buckeyes. Added to the drama of the winner, Ohio State was also down a player when Epstein scored.

Rutgers got six goals from Taralyn Naslonski to down Big Ten foe Michigan 13-8 and improve to 2-1 in conference play.

2. Jared Bernhardt took another step in making his NFL dream come true this week.

Bernhardt, the former Tewaaraton winner who played football at Ferris State last fall, competed at Maryland’s Pro Day on Wednesday.

3. There’s something going on out West in women’s lacrosse.

Denver, fresh off a spring break trip to California, sits at 10-1 and is turning heads with a number of strong defense performances. A core of upperclassmen has helped the Pioneers become the nation’s leading scoring defense.

4. Cassandra Schuessler is loving her time playing boys’ lacrosse.

The Manning, S.C. native joined the Laurence Manning Academy lacrosse team to play goalie, and suit up alongside her brother. Now the starter for her team, Schuessler reflected on her experience so far.
