Corrigan Sports Enterprises, a US Lacrosse Sanctioning Program partner, has launched a new tournament series that will provide unprecedented exposure for high school and youth girls’ lacrosse clubs and players. The 2021 National Cup takes place December 3-5 in Florida.
NATIONAL TV
CSE has teamed up with ESPN to showcase the top girls’ lacrosse clubs in the country. This commitment gives girls’ lacrosse a national platform with regional and national championship games scheduled to be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.
“ESPN has a storied history with lacrosse at multiple levels,” said Dan Margulis, senior director of programming and acquisitions at ESPN. “We are looking forward to this opportunity to further expand our commitment in the youth space, specifically with regard to girls’ lacrosse.”
Thirteen games will air on ESPN3, with two high school championships re-airing on ESPNU.
INSPIRING MOMENTS
CSE also has joined forces with HighlightHER, Bleacher Report’s social media platform that emboldens female athletes and an extension of its popular House of Highlights brand. One of the fastest growing women’s sports platforms, HighlightHER shines a light on women’s sports through a unique blend of compelling, empowering and light-hearted moments.
HighlightHER will celebrate the contributions of players and coaches at the National Cup Series awards banquet.
“HighlightHER was built to empower sisterhood and amplify women in sports and culture,” said Ari Chambers, the social media producer and journalist behind HighlightHER. “We’re excited to highlight inspiring moments from some of the best athletes in lacrosse.”
