This season, USA Lacrosse will celebrate the accomplishments of players across Divisions I, II and III each Tuesday with Player of the Week recognition. Players of the Week are selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors based on a variety of factors, including individual performance and impact on team success.
LANDYN WHITE, UCONN
A UConn upset of Yale would not have been possible without Landyn White in the cage. The graduate student made 14 saves and stopped 58.3 percent of shots in the 11-10 overtime victory. She made two saves in the final 5:16 of regulation to keep the score tied at 10, setting up Kate Shaffer to have an opportunity to win it for the Huskies in overtime.
JESSICA HARCLERODE, SAINT LEO
She’s been a freshman of impact in helping the No. 12 Lions to a 6-0 start, including three wins last week. Harclerode recorded 36 saves in the three games, including 12 stops in Saint Leo’s 13-11 upset of No. 17 Seton Hill. Harclerode has an 8.71 GAA and .526 save percentage through her first six collegiate games.
CAMRYN ROGERS, STEVENS
Stevens is new to the rankings this week because of a lopsided win over former No. 14 St. Lawrence, and Rogers was pivotal to the upset. She had six goals and one assist in the win, and she has been pouring in goals at an insane pace the last few weeks. She had six goals to days prior in a win over Springfield and five goals on March 5 in a win over John Carroll.
