Boise State, which was idle last week, retains the top spot in the WCLA Division II coaches poll, followed by three members of the Western Women’s Lacrosse League (WWLL) occupying the next three positions.
CSU San Marcos jumped one spot to No. 2 this week after defeating No. 18 San Diego and is followed by No. 3 Cal Poly and No. 4 UCLA. The Bruins were one of this week’s biggest movers, jumping four spots.
Based on a new rule approved by the WCLA membership this year, schools are allowed to sponsor a team in both Division I and Division II. Both Cal Poly and UCLA are among the schools that also have teams competing in the Division I ranks.
No. 9 Montana State made the biggest move in this week’s ranking, jumping six spots. The Bobcats are coming off a narrow one-goal loss against No. 1 Boise State last week but have a rematch coming against BSU on April 6.
