Providence New No. 1 in the WCLA Division II Top 20

A busy week for Providence that included an 8-7 win over Vermont, last week’s No. 1 team, has vaulted the Friars into the top spot in the newest WCLA Division Division II Top 20, with previously unbeaten Vermont falling back to the No. 2 position.

No. 3 Utah Valley, No. 4 New Hampshire and No. 5 Denver Club round out the top five.

Providence gets two big challenges this week as the new top team, hosting No. 4 New Hampshire Club and visiting Boston College Club, the top-ranked team in WCLA Division I.

There was some minor reshuffling throughout the rest of this week’s poll, but no new teams join the Top 20. No. 10 West Chester Club was the biggest mover of the week, climbing nine spots to move into the top 10 for the first time this season.
