PRESEASON ATTACKER OF THE YEAR
Caroline Gastonguay, Rollins
Last year’s player of the year in the Sunshine State Conference, Gastonguay tallied 77 points with 47 goals, 30 assists and a .595 shooting percentage. She ranked second in the SSC in points per game (4.53), sixth in assists (1.76) and ninth in goals (2.76), while also finishing in the Top 10 in ground balls and caused turnovers.
PRESEASON MIDFIELDER OF THE YEAR
Emily Mitarotondo, East Stroudsburg
Mitarotondo finished third in the nation with 89 goals last year and fifth in total points with 111. She recorded three or more goals in 19 of 23 games, including 19 goals in four NCAA tournament games, as she led ESU to a national runner-up finish.
PRESEASON DEFENDER OF THE YEAR
Kara Antonucci, UIndy
Last year’s GLVC defender of the year, Antonucci served as one of the defensive anchors for the 2022 NCAA champions who sported the nation’s stingiest defense. She recorded 19 caused turnovers, 21 ground balls and 65 draw controls while starting all 23 games for the Greyhounds.
PRESEASON GOALIE OF THE YEAR
Jessica Gorr, West Chester
Gorr finished with an 8.33 goals against average in 2022, sixth best in the nation and a .507 save percentage while earning first-team All-Atlantic Region honors. She had six games with 10 or more saves, including a career-high 15 saves in back-to-back games against Mercy and Shippensburg.
