The 10-goal third quarter Virginia produced in its comeback win over Duke might go down as the highest-scoring quarter for a single team this season. Jenna Dinardo was at the center of it.

The sophomore scored all four of her goals in that period, and she delivered one of her four assists. Her eight-point day led the charge in a 16-11 win that helped stabilize a Virginia team that was 2-3 in its previous five games.

Dinardo is the USA Lacrosse Player of the Week for her performance.

Dinardo had a strong freshman campaign, scoring 39 goals with 11 assists in 20 games. Her pace suggests she will surpass both marks in 2025, as she already has 24 goals and seven assists in eight games.

DIVISION II

Giana Murphy, Florida Southern

The senior attacker tallied 19 points in three games last week — including a pair of top-10 victories over UIndy and Pace — to help keep No. 2 Florida Southern undefeated.

Murphy set a new career high with eight points (5G, 3A) in the win over then-No. 3 Pace and tied her career high with five goals in back-to-back games. She recorded 14 goals on 20 shots (70 percent) in the three games and leads the Mocs (9-0) with 30 goals and 44 points this season after missing all of last year due to injury.

DIVISION III

Marissa Lucca, TCNJ

The sophomore tied the TCNJ program record for points in a game with 12 (6G, 6A) and recorded personal bests in assists in a game, points in a game and draw controls in a game (8). Lucca and graduate student Ally Tobler combined for 12 goals, a little more than half of the team’s final tally of 23.
