Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

  1. No. 6 Denver remains undefeated.
The Pioneers topped Delaware 13-6, marking the eighth time in as many games they’ve kept opponents to single-digit goals. Julia Gilbert netted a hat trick to lead the offense. The 8-0 Pioneers play No. 4 Boston College on Sunday in Jacksonville, Fla.

    MONDAY SCOREBOARD
    Rutgers 12, Vanderbilt 10
    Monmouth 15, George Washington 12
    Queens 16, Wofford 7

  2. Penn State surges in latest men’s Division I top 20.
Penn State’s win over 2022 national runner-up Cornell has the Nittany Lions up nine – count ‘em nine — spots to No. 6 in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I men’s rankings. No. 1 UVA and No. 2 Notre Dame retain their spots as the best teams in the land. Full rankings.

  3. Meet Clemson, the newest member of the women’s Division I top 20.
Clemson’s first-ever conference win — an upset over previously No. 13 Duke has the Tigers clocking in at No. 13 in this week’s poll. The top three (No. 1 UNC, No. 2 Syracuse and No. 3 Northwestern) all stayed put. All eyes shift to Evanston Sunday when UNC and Northwestern meet again for the first time since last year’s epic semifinal. Full rankings.

  4. Big climbers in Division II men’s and women’s rankings
Colorado Mesa is up four spots to No. 14 in the Division II rankings, but the top four remain intact (No. 1 LeMoyne, No. 2 Mercyhurst, No. 3 Adelphi and No. 4 Mercy). Full rankings.

There are nine unblemished teams in Division II women’s lacrosse, and six of them reside in the top six of this week’s rankings. Full rankings.

  5. Division III rankings reshuffle
March Madness has come for Division III men’s lacrosse (in a good way). Upsets galore led to movement in the Division III men’s rankings, but not No. 1 RIT. Full rankings.

Stevens Tech and Ponoma-Pitzer enter the women’s top 20. Full rankings.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

Denver is lauded for its defense, but Julia Gilbert became the 18th player in program history to hit the century mark for career goals in a Monday win over Delaware. Hats off to Gilbert, who scored three goals for Denver.
