We’re down to the final day of Best of Lacrosse 2023, meaning it’s time to dish out the last piece of major hardware. Today, we’re ready to crown the Best Women’s Player of 2023.

The following four nominees are simply the best the women’s game has to offer. They’re team MVPs, professional MVPs and so much more. Withouth them, the sport wouldn’t have been as exciting as it was in 2023.

BEST WOMEN’S PLAYERR

SAM APUZZO

The dynamic attacker finished second in Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse for the second straight season, but her ability to draft and impact the offensive end of the field make her an absolute force. Apuzzo has her sights set on taking home an AU championship in 2024.

TAYLOR MORENO

The first two-time champion in Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse history, Taylor Moreno is as steady as they come between the pipes — both in terms of on-field performance and mentality. Moreno also backstopped the U.S. to a gold medal at Super Sixes in 2023.

IZZY SCANE

Tewaaraton Award winner. National champion. Northwestern record holder. Need we go on? Izzy Scane had a 2023 to remember and will be back for more this spring.

MEAGHAN TYRRELL

Meaghan Tyrrrell passed her head coach, Kayla Treanor, for the most points in Syracuse history in 2023. She was a Tewaaraton Award finalist and drafted by Athletes Unlimited before ultimately missing the summer season.
