ATLANTA — For the third consecutive week, Rhode Island is the top team in the MCLA Division II New Balance Weekly Coaches Poll, which was released March 22.

The Rams (6-1) were a unanimous selection this week, sweeping all 27 of the first-place votes in the poll. St. Thomas (2-1), idle since its February 26 victory over No. 4 Montana State (5-1), holds steady in the second chair.

Montana (9-2), which lost to No. 7 Cal State San Marcus (6-1) on Tuesday night (after the poll closed), is in the third spot. Missouri State (3-0) is at No. 5 but has critical battles with St. Thomas and No. 10 Grand Valley State (3-1) next weekend.

There were no new additions to the poll this week.
