The first weekend of October brought on college lacrosse fall ball in earnest. Among the highlights was North Carolina and Yale battling at the Salesiasum School (Del.) on Sunday in a highly-awaited men’s lacrosse match.
Yale was decimated by injuries last season, but will welcome back a healthy Leo Johnson and Chris Lyons to the attack this year. Johnson had 126 points over his first two seasons and Lyons had 122, but both missed all of 2024. They were in action on Sunday in Delaware.
Our photographer, Kevin Tucker, was on the scene to bring some images, including UNC coach Joe Breschi showing he’s still got it.
On Long Island, the Hofstra men’s and women’s lacrosse teams hosted HEADstrong Foundation events, continuing on the legacy of former Hofstra men’s lacrosse player Nick Colleluori.
