Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. CJ Kirst left an indelible mark on the oldest rivalry in college lacrosse Tuesday.

Kirst, a sophomore attackman and U.S. U21 standout, scored seven goals andromeda  added four assists as No. 3 Cornell defeated Hobart 17-8 in Geneva, N.Y. He’s averaging seven points per game for the unbeaten Big Red (3-0), who travel to Ohio State for a top-10 showdown Saturday.

Also in men’s lacrosse Tuesday, Ross Scott scored five goals to lead No. 11 Rutgers to a 20-6 win over St. John’s.

2. Nicole Ferrara scored her fourth goal in overtime to lift Ohio State to a 13-12 victory over Cincinnati.

Bearcats freshman Camryn Callaghan continued a scorching start to her college career (34 points in six games), scoring the last two goals of the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime. But a Dani Mlkvy yellow card put Cincinnati down a player and the Buckeyes capitalized.

In other women’s lacrosse action Tuesday, Emma LoPinto and Danielle Pavinelli scored four goals apiece to lead No. 9 Florida to a 20-9 win over Furman and No. 11 Duke cruised to an 18-4 victory over Liberty.

3. Crossover football-lacrosse stars Xavier Arline, Ricky Miezan and Dante Trader Jr. are on the cover of the March edition of USA Lacrosse Magazine.

We unveiled the cover Tuesday. Magazines reach homes Saturday.

4. Charlotte North has signed on for another season of Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse, AU digital media reporter Savanna Collins tweeted Tuesday.

A two-time Tewaaraton Award winner at Boston College and member of the U.S. women’s national team, North set AU single-season records with eight 2-point goals and 50 points last year.

AU previously announced that its top four finishers from 2022 — champion Taylor Moreno, Sam Apuzzo, Ally Mastroianni and Britt Read — also would be back in 2023.

WHAT WE’RE READING

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

Lots of great content (as usual) coming out of Premier Lacrosse League channels following a successful PLL Championship Series that used a Sixes format and saw the Chrome come out on top—and a heartwarming segment from the ESPN broadcast booth in which Paul Rabil surprised Ryan Boyle with news of his Professional Lacrosse Hall of Fame induction.

WHAT’S ON TAP

  • A pair of Baltimore-area games as Loyola makes the short trip to Towson and UMBC hosts St. Bonaventure in men’s lacrosse.

  • A rather busy women’s slate. Among games of note: Michigan at Denver, Princeton at Rutgers, Maryland at James Madison, Albany at Syracuse, Penn at Loyola.
