With a 15-10 takedown of Ivy League rival Princeton, Cornell is up to No. 2 in the USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Top 20. The Big Red have taken the spot of the Tigers, who fell to No. 4.
Other than that, there was not much significant movement in the top half of the Top 20. The bottom half, though, is where things get interesting.
Three new teams have forced their way in and occupy three of the last four spots.
UMass is in at No. 17 with a resume that is thus far built on consistency. An 11-7 win over Rutgers on Saturday only continued to cement its status as a Top 20 team.
At No. 19 is Boston U, which has bounced back nicely from its loss to Navy on March 1 with wins over Bucknell and Loyola. That win over Bucknell suddenly holds more weight than before after the Bison took down former No. 14 Colgate.
The last team in is Saint Joseph's at No. 20. The Hawks are winners of five straight after beginning the season 0-2, and wins this month over Rutgers and Villanova have boosted their stock.
