The Brine/US Lacrosse Players of the Week are named each Tuesday to recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school girls’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage.
Northeast
Kelly Trotta, Manhasset (N.Y.).
Trotta netted the winner in a 13-12 decision over previously top-ranked Darien (Conn.) and finished with five goals. She also tallied three goals in a 10-3 win over ranked rival Garden City (N.Y.). Trotta started the week with two goals and two assists in a 16-5 win over Wantagh (N.Y.). The junior is committed to Marist.

Rachel Scheinberg, Glenelg (Md.)
The senior scored a career-high six goals as Glenelg toppled Bishop Ireton (Va.) 13-6 last week in a meeting of power programs. The Johns Hopkins commit helped the Gladiators to an 8-2 lead at halftime to propel them to victory.

Jackie Norsworthy, Lake Highland Prep (Fla.)
The sophomore attacker, who used to attend and play lacrosse for Glenelg (Md.), scored six goals and had seven draw controls and three ground balls in a 15-3 win over West Orange (Fla.) in a Florida High School Athletic Association regional quarterfinal last week.
