The Brine/US Lacrosse Players of the Week are named each Tuesday to recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school boys’ and girls’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage.
Mid-Atlantic
Reilly Casey, Bishop Ireton (Va.)
Casey has been stellar through the Cardinals’ first four games, but most notably the sophomore scored 17 points against South-ranked Milton (Ga.). She dished out 12 assists and scored five goals in a 22-10 win over the Georgia powerhouse to lead Bishop Ireton to its fourth straight win to start the season.

Caitlyn Wurzburger, American Heritage-Delray (Fla.)
The sophomore attacker led the Stallions to three wins last week. Wurzburger (Syracuse) scored six goals and dished out four assists in a 21-4 win over Spanish River (Fla.), and she scored two goals with four assists, four ground balls and one caused turnover in a 19-3 win over St. Andrew’s (Fla.). In one of the best matchups of the season so far, she had two goals, seven assists, three ground balls, three caused turnovers and two draw controls to power the Stallions to a 15-7 win over South No. 3 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.).

Riley Dolan, Loyola Academy (Ill.)
The defensive midfielder stepped up in a huge way offensively to open the season for Loyola Academy, scoring eight goals and adding two assists and seven draw controls in the Ramblers’ first three victories. Dolan is committed to play collegiately at Holy Cross.

Jamie Level, Novato (Calif.)
The junior midfielder had a big week for the Hornets during their four-game swing in Florida, racking up 18 goals and six assists as Novato went 3-1. Most notably, Level (Oregon) led Novato to a 17-10 win over St. Paul’s School for Girls (Md.), scoring nine goals and assisting two others. Her four goals and one assist against Vero Beach helped secure an 11-10 win, she tallied three goals and three assists in limited time in a 22-6 win over Cardinal Newman (Fla.), and she had two goals and four draw controls in a 14-6 loss to national No. 1 McDonogh.
