Kayla Treanor, Maddie Jenner, Samantha Mehalick and Kailey Conroy are US Lacrosse Magazine’s finalists for Best Men’s Performance of 2019.

Kayla Treanor
WPLL Championship

Kayla Treanor and her particular set of skills were on full display at US Lacrosse headquarters on July 28. Treanor led her WPLL Fight team throughout the day, scoring goals from multiple angles and showing off her dexterity along the way. She dropped a total of seven goals, the last of which came on a dazzling behind-the-back shot that gave her team a 12-9 lead with less than 10 minutes left. The Fight eventual fell to the Brave, but Treanor was the best player on the field.

Maddie Jenner
U19 World Championship

The Jenner family has already been known for producing top-notch draw specialists, but the younger Maddie showcased her skills on the world stage this summer. The incoming Duke sophomore secured a total of 61 draw controls in the U.S. U19 national team’s run to gold at the world championship in Peterborough, Ontario — a total of 72 percent of his draws. Jenner helped the U.S. take down Canada with eight draw controls in the gold medal match.

Samantha Mehalick
MAAC Quarterfinal

Samantha Mehalick had the game of her life, and possibly the game of the NCAA lacrosse year, when her team needed it the most. Marist battled Manhattan in the MAAC quarterfinal, and Mehalick came up huge for her team throughout the day — finishing with 11 goals. Down 13-10 with six minutes left, Mehalick went on a run of four of Marist’s final five goals, including the game-winner with off a free position with seven seconds left to seal a wild comeback win for the Red Foxes.

Kailey Conry
vs. Holy Cross

Kailey Conry was a quarterback for Boston U throughout the season, finding teammates for goals and setting them up for success. What she did on April 17 may have been the best illustration of how valuable she was to the Terriers. Conry finished with three goals and 10 assists in Boston U’s 23-14 victory over Holy Cross. The total of 10 assists was one shy of the NCAA record.
