Lacrosse players are gifted athletes who use principles from other sports to hone their skills.
In some cases, lacrosse players shift back to their former sports to scratch an itch and reach new heights. Four laxers did just that (or continued to do just that) in 2022.
Here are the nominees for Best in Another Sport.
BEST IN ANOTHER SPORT
For the laxer redefining what it means to be a multi-sport athlete.
PAT SPENCER
Spencer, the 2019 Tewaaraton Award winner from Loyola, was one of the final cuts in training camp for the Golden State Warriors. Spencer has yet to give up on his NBA dreams, as he currently holds a roster spot for the G-League affiliate of the reigning NBA champs. In five G-League games this season, Spencer is averaging 31.8 minutes, 14 points, 7.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game. Could an NBA gig be in his future?
