The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has acquired forward Shawn Evans and a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NLL Entry Draft from the New England Black Wolves, in exchange for forward Callum Crawford and a second-round draft pick in 2019.

Evans is currently tied for seventh in the league in scoring with 51 points on 18 goals and 33 assists. In three regular seasons with the Black Wolves, he tallied 106 goals and 166 assists and was named to the All-Pro First Team in 2016.
 

The Peterborough, Ontario, native is a two-time League MVP (2013 and 2015) and was named to four straight All-Pro first teams from 2013-2016. Evans was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2006 and won the title of 2011 All-Star Game MVP.

Evans also currently ranks seventh all-time in NLL history in assists (675) and eighth in points (1,061).

Selected second overall in the 2005 Entry Draft by the Rochester Knighthawks, Evans also hold the league record for assists in a season with 83.

Thus far in his career with stints at Rochester (2006-11), Calgary (2012-14) and New England (2016-18), he has recorded 1,164 points on 431 goals and 733 assists, which includes postseason numbers and this year's stats through nine games.
