Sunday will be the final day of the inaugural Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse season, one that has seemingly redefined the way we think about professional women’s lacrosse.
But unlike other pro leagues, there isn’t a team championship on the line at Maureen Hendricks Field in Boyds, Md. Instead, an individual points champion will be crowned. As things stand now, Taylor Cummings is the favorite to finish the five-week campaign as the top player in the league.
Every player has just one game left to stake her claim on the title. Cummings holds a 187-point lead on Caylee Waters in second place. That’s certainly not insurmountable, but Cummings plays Waters in the final game. The winner of that contest could very well be No. 1.
Below is Sunday’s schedule, as well as the Top 20 on the leaderboard.
