Allison Daley has resigned as the head women’s lacrosse coach at Canisius to pursue another professional opportunity, director of athletics Bill Maher announced Tuesday.

“We would like to thank Allison for all that she has done for our women’s lacrosse program over the years, not only in her time as our head coach, but also as an assistant coach and as a student-athlete. We wish her all the best as she takes the next steps in her career.”

Daley served as the Golden Griffins’ head coach for four seasons (2018-21). She went 17-37 since 2018. She was also a Canisius goalie, graduating in 2011.

A national search to hire a replacement will begin immediately.
