Though the top three of the Nike/US Lacrosse High School Girls’ National Top 25 remains unchanged, the rest of the rankings underwent a major shakeup.

The biggest beneficiaries were Agnes Irwin (Pa.), which vaulted nine spots to No. 8 with significant wins at Vero Beach (Fla.) and Good Counsel (Md.), and Loyola Academy (Ill.), which toppled Georgetown Visitation (D.C.) and nearly knocked off host St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.) at the 26th-annual Spring Fling.

1. Garden City (N.Y.), 4-0

The Trojans’ win streak now stands at 22 games after adding two more wins last week. Garden City topped Farmingdale (N.Y.), 14-3, and followed up with a 13-9 win over Syosset (N.Y.). Liana McDonnell totaled eight goals and two assists in the wins. Garden City plays at North Shore (N.Y.) on Tuesday. Previous: 1

2. Darien (Conn.), 1-0

Coming off its fourth consecutive state title, Darien opened the 2017 season with a 20-4 win over Yorktown (N.Y.) for its 15th straight. The Blue Wave outscored Yorktown, 14-0, in the second half, and senior Laura Murphy finished with five goals and three assists. Darien plays St. Joseph (Conn.) and Ridgewood (N.J.) this week. Previous: 2

3. St. Anthony’s (N.Y.), 3-0

Kiera Accettella totaled six goals and two assists and Delaney Galvin recorded 24 total saves to lead St. Anthony’s to a pair of wins last week. The Friars topped Kellenberg Memorial (N.Y.), 14-7, and Sacred Heart (N.Y.), 10-8. St. Anthony’s plays top-ranked Garden City (N.Y.) on Friday. Previous: 4

4. Christian Brothers Academy (N.Y.), 0-0

In the last five seasons, CBA has won state titles in each of the three state classifications, including last year’s Class A title to cap a 21-0 campaign. CBA gets a late jump on the season, opening defense of its title on April 10 against East Syracuse-Minoa (N.Y.). Previous: 6

5. Manhasset (N.Y.), 2-1

Manhasset went 1-1 last week, dropping a 7-6 decision to Long Beach and topping Bishop Ireton (Va.), 8-7 in overtime. Long Beach’s Siobhan Rafferty scored with 14.19 left in the second half to give her team a 7-5 lead, and the Indians had only enough time for one more goal. Lily Sheridan was the hero against Bishop Ireton, scoring on a free-position shot with 46.5 seconds left in the first overtime to lift Manhasset to victory. The Indians play Port Washington (N.Y.) on Wednesday. Previous: 3

6. Pittsford (N.Y.), 1-0

Last season’s Class A runners up opened the season with 6-5 double overtime win over Fairport (N.Y.). The Panthers tied the game at 5-5 with 7.8 seconds left in regulation to send the game to extra minutes. Pittsford hosts traditional Rochester-area powerhouse Brighton (N.Y.) on Friday. Previous: 9

7. Westwood (Mass.), 0-0

Under coach Leslie Frank, the Wolverines won another Division I state title last year. Westwood has won 15 straight games entering the season opener Wednesday against Needham (Mass.). Previous: 10

8. West Islip (N.Y.), 3-1

The Lion went 1-1 last week, dropping an 8-7 double overtime decision to Sachem North (N.Y.) and rebounding with a 9-7 win over Connetquot (N.Y.). Samantha Blair totaled six goals and Danielle Marino had six goals and one assist in the two games for the Lions. West Islip plays Northport (N.Y.) and William Floyd (N.Y.) this week. Previous: 7

9. Wantagh (N.Y.), 2-1

The Warriors dropped a 5-4 decision to Cold Spring Harbor (N.Y.) last week. Megan Gordon scored twice and Emma Lemanski stopped seven shots for the Warriors, who host Massapequa (N.Y.) on Wednesday. Previous: 8

10. Mount Sinai (N.Y.), 1-1

The defending Class C state champions went 1-1 last week to open the season. The Mustangs dropped an 8-7 decision to Shoreham-Wading River and rebounded with a 10-5 win over Miller Place (N.Y.). Meaghan Tyrrell totaled four goals and three assists in the two games for Mount Sinai, which plays at Elwood-John Glenn (N.Y.) on Wednesday. Previous: 5

1. McDonogh (Md.), 8-0

The Eagles kept rolling with two more IAAM wins last week to run their streak to 163 straight. Catie May (Maryland) had a hat trick in the first five minutes of Tuesday’s 17-2 win over Maryvale Prep (Md.). Julia Hoffman (Maryland) scored seven times in Thursday’s 16-5 win over Bryn Mawr (Md.). 2. St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.), 9-0

The Saints survived a stern test on their home field from then-No. 22 Loyola Academy (Ill.) on Saturday to stay unbeaten. They got an early offensive onslaught from Grayson Offutt (Virginia) and held on late to win, 16-14. They also added victories over Holy Cross (Md.), Episcopal Academy (Pa.), Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.) and Collegiate School (Va.) to their résumé in a whirlwind week. Previous: 2

3. Notre Dame Prep (Md.), 5-0

The Blazers are still perfect after beating Episcopal Academy (Pa) and Mount de Sales (Md.). Caitlynn Mossman led the way with a combined seven goals. They’ll need to beat Garrison Forest (Md.) and Roland Park Country (Md.) this week to cement their position as McDonogh’s top challenger in the IAAM. Previous: 4 

4. Ridgewood (N.J.), 2-0

The Maroons exacted a measure of revenge for last year’s Tournament of Champions final loss with Saturday’s 7-4 win over Summit (N.J). Lillie Kloak, Alex Absey and Chelsea Trattner provided two goals apiece. They also beat Saddle River Day (N.J.), 21-13, in their opening week. Previous: 6

5. Agnes Irwin (Pa.), 4-0

The Owls make a big jump thanks to a statement win over Good Counsel (Md.) on March 28. Hailey Andress (Cornell) made the last of her 10 saves with 24 seconds left to preserve a 12-11 triumph. They also grabbed a 17-7 win at Vero Beach (Fla.) on Thursday. Lila Barker (Virginia) posted a combined seven goals and five assists last week. Previous: 9

6. Good Counsel (Md.), 5-1

The Falcons slipped up with a loss to Agnes Irwin (Pa.) but bounced back Saturday with a pair of quality wins at St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes’ annual Spring Fling. They took down then-No. 15 Georgetown Visitation, 7-5, before beating Western power St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.), 10-9. Previous: 3

7. Summit (N.J.), 2-1

The Hilltoppers hung tough but ultimately couldn’t find enough offense to beat rival Ridgewood (N.J.). With Helen Louise Johnson (Stanford) leading, they flashed more firepower in wins over Mountain Lakes (N.J.) and Mendham (N.J.). Previous: 5

8. Marriotts Ridge (Md.), 3-0

The Mustangs have taken care of business so far. They picked up a 16-5 win March 28 over a quality South River (Md.) squad behind four goals apiece from Victoria Hensh (Maryland) and Lily Kennedy (UMBC), and they followed with a 22-2 pounding of Atholton (Md.) two days later. Previous: 10

9. Bridgewater-Raritan (N.J.) 2-0

The Panthers got off to a strong start last week, including an 18-4 pasting of a quality Hunterdon Central club in Wednesday’s opener. Saturday’s matchup with Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y) went down to the wire, but three goals from North Carolina recruit Allison Mastroianni helped them pull out a 7-6 victory. 10. Glenelg (Md.), 4-0

The Gladiators look fully capable of grabbing a repeat Maryland public schools title. They had 12 different scorers on the way to a 22-5 win over Centennial (Md.) on March 28 before beating C.M. Wright (Md.) on Monday in a rematch of last spring’s state semifinals. Previous: NR

South Top 10

1. Vero Beach (Fla.), 15-2

Vero Beach wrapped up the regular season with a win over Bullis School (Md.) and a loss to Agnes Irwin (Pa.), which was ranked No. 17 in the country. The Fighting Indians, whose other loss was to national No. 1 McDonogh (Md.), began their renewed quest for a Florida state championship on Monday with a 13-1 win over South Fork (Fla.) in a district semifinal. Vero Beach had its string of 10 consecutive state titles snapped last spring when it lost the state championship game in overtime to Bartram Trail. Previous: 1

2. Hutchison (Tenn.), 9-0

The Sting stayed unbeaten with an impressive 18-5 win over St. Mary’s Episcopal (Tenn.), which was previously unbeaten, and finished off the week with a win over first-year program Bartlett (Tenn.). In the win over St. Mary’s, Elizabeth Farnsworth had nine goals, four assists, 12 draw controls and four groundballs, and Griffin Gearhardt had eight goals and 10 assists. Previous: 2

3. Milton (Ga.), 8-3

What a week for the Eagles, who snapped a three-game losing streak with a weather-delayed 19-6 win over Lambert and followed that with two wins in the Spring Fling at St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.). The Eagles beat Holy Cross (Md.) 9-4 and then beat Robinson (Va.) 14-12. Robinson was the 2016 Virginia High School League Class 6A champion. Sophie Baez scored 14 goals in the wins, Hannah Demis had eight. In the win over Lambert, Kelly Hyman had five goals. Previous: 3

4. North Gwinnett (Ga.), 13-0

The Bulldogs easily beat Mountain View (Ga.), 22-2, in their only game of the week, as their high-powered offense continues to produce. North Gwinnett averages 17.2 goals per game. The Bulldogs do not play again until April 12. Previous: 4

5. American Heritage-Delray (Fla.), 16-0

The Stallions finished off the regular season in style, knocking off previously unbeaten Barron Collier (Fla.) and then pounding Oak Hall (Fla.) and Ponte Vedra (Fla.). Megan Mangines scored 13 goals combined and had two assists, seven draw controls and five ground balls and was also strong on the draw. American Heritage dispatched of St. Andrew’s (Fla.), 22-8, in the district semifinals Monday. Previous: 5

6. Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.), 8-1

The Crusaders had their 29-game win streak end with a 15-4 loss to national No. 3 St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.), but rebounded with a notable 16-9 win over St. Anne’s-Belfield (Va.). Previous: 6

7. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), 14-1

The Raiders beat Western (Fla.) 16-6 to finish the regular season on an 11-game winning streak. The lone loss was to American Heritage-Delray (Fla.). St. Thomas was set to face Plantation (Fla.) in the district semifinals Monday. Previous: 7

8. Lassiter (Ga.), 11-2

The Trojans went 2-1 on a swing through Maryland last week. They beat Easton and Severn School before losing to Roland Park Country (Md.). They battled back from an 8-5 halftime deficit against Easton and won 16-8. Emma Grace Wisdom had nine goals in the three games. Previous: 8

9. Walton (Ga.), 7-2

The Raiders got a win over Woodstock (Ga.) before traveling to New York and splitting the first two of three games on the trip. The Raiders beat Rye before losing to Bronxville. They were also scheduled to play Yorktown on Monday. Previous: 10  

10. Episcopal Dallas (Texas) 10-0

The Eagles stayed unbeaten and moved onto the rankings with a trio of wins over Allen (Texas), Keller (Texas) and MICDS-St. Louis (Mo.). They were scheduled to play McKinney Club on Monday. The Eagles’ best win was an 18-17 nail-biter over two-loss Hockaday. Previous: NR

Midwest Top 10

1. Loyola Academy (Ill.), 9-1

Last week was an active one for the Ramblers, as they travelled to the east coast to challenge several nationally-ranked squads. Loyola Academy came away with wins over No. 15 Georgetown Visitation (D.C.), Robinson Secondary (Va.) and Stone Ridge (Va.). No. 3-ranked St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.) handed Loyola its first loss of the season on Saturday, but the Ramblers were competitive in the 16-14 decision. Previous: 1

2. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 2-2

The Golden Bears were idle last week and resume play Tuesday at Thomas Worthington (Ohio). They last played on March 25 in a 9-8 win over Midwest No. 3 Rockford (Mich.) Previous: 2

3. Rockford (Mich.), 1-1

The Rams are in the midst of a spring break and enjoying the recovery time after falling to Upper Arlington on March 25. Rockford does not return to action until April 12 when it hosts Grand Rapids Christian (Mich.). Previous: 3

4. New Albany (Ohio), 3-0 

Last playing on March 24, the Eagles are coming off a bye week heading into their match with Dublin Coffman (Ohio) on Tuesday. New Albany’s week ahead is highlighted by a contest against unbeaten Massillon Jackson (Ohio). Previous: 4

5. Noblesville (Ind.), 3-0

After nearly two weeks off, Noblesville returns to action Friday to play at winless Bloomington (Ind.). Noblesville enters the game with a 23-game regular-season winning streak dating back to 2015. Previous: 5

6. New Trier (Ill.), 4-1

New Trier will look to bounce back from its March 25 loss to Mill Creek (Ga.) on Tuesday as it hosts Maine South (Ill.). After visiting Glenbrook South (Ill.) on Thursday, the Trevians will visit unbeaten Naperville North (Ill.) to close a busy week Saturday. Previous: 6

7. Eden Prairie (Minn.), 0-0

As winter is slow to break in the state of Minnesota, the state’s top-ranked team has to wait until April 18 to get its season underway. Eden Prairie’s first contest will be against Wayzata (Minn.). Previous: 7

8. Blake (Minn), 0-0

Like Eden Prairie, Blake has to wait until winter is fully over to get its season underway. The Bears’ season is set to get underway April 20 against Holy Family Catholic (Minn.). Previous: 8

9. East Grand Rapids (Mich.), 2-0

East Grand Rapids picked up its second win of the season on March 29 with a 20-6 decision over winless Ann Arbor Pioneer (Mich.). The Pioneers next play on April 12 against Caledonia (Mich.). Previous: 9

10.  Hinsdale Central (Ill.) 2-2

Hinsdale Central dropped to 2-2 after losing to nationally-ranked Georgetown Visitation by a 17-5 margin on March 27. Anna Santulli, who is committed to Stanford, scored three of Hinsdale Central’s five goals in the loss. Previous: 10

West Top 10

1. Novato (Calif.), 8-0

After topping St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.) 15-9 on March 28, the Hornets now own wins over the only two teams to hold the No. 2 position in the West through five weeks of the season. They beat former No. 2 Colorado Academy (Colo.) on March 20. Charlie Rudy and Jamie Level each tallied four goals against St. Ignatius, while Allie Level had three goals and three assists, and Katie McGrath registered 13 saves in goal. Previous: 1 

2. St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.) 5-3

The Wildcats went 0-3 last week, but won’t be punished for a challenging schedule. Following the loss to Novato, they fell to defending Pennsylvania independent schools champion Episcopal Academy 14-8 before giving national No. 4 Good Counsel (D.C.) a scare in a 10-9 decision in a doubleheader at Spring Fling in Virginia. Ignatius was leading Good Counsel with seven minutes left and couldn’t hold on. Catriona Barry totaled nine goals, five assists and 11 draw controls over the three games, while Emma Knaus also had nine goals combined. Previous: 2

3. Torrey Pines (Calif.), 12-0

The Falcons outscored their three opponents 46-9 last week, including their first shut out of the season against Canyon Crest (Calif.) and a 17-6 win over Cleveland Heights (Ohio). Marisa Kuberra and Kelli McKinnon each finished with hat tricks against Canyon Crest. Previous: 3

4. Colorado Academy (Colo.), 2-1

The Mustangs have been idle since a 16-6 win over Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.) on March 22 but were set to resume play Monday at Rocky Mountain (Colo.). A date with unbeaten Mullen (Colo.) looms Wednesday. Previous: 4

5. Lake Oswego (Ore.), 6-1

It was a productive visit to Florida for the Lakers, who went 2-1 with some great competition over three consecutive days. Oswego opened the trip with a 21-13 win over Olympia (Fla.) on March 27, then dropped a 13-12 decision against Bishop Moore (Fla.) the following day before wrapping up with an 18-17 victory over Lake Highland Prep (Fla.). Lauren Gilbert had 13 goals (including the game-winner with 29 seconds left against LHP), five assists and 27 draw controls for the trip. Previous: 6

6. Mater Dei (Calif.), 8-1

Grace Houser had five goals and one assist and Madeline Hooks tallied two goals and eight assists to lead the Monarchs to a 15-8 win over St. Margaret’s (Calif.) in their only game last week. Their lone loss was to still unbeaten Hutchison (Tenn.) on March 9. Previous: 5

7. Issaquah (Wash.), 5-0

The Eagles added two wins last week, beating Roosevelt (Wash.) 21-10 and Snohomish (Wash.) 16-8. Nicole Victory totaled 13 goals and 11 assists over the two wins, while Julia Hepperle added 11 goals and Katie Earll finished with 23 saves in the cage. Previous: 7

8. California High (Calif.), 8-1

In their only action last week, the Grizzlies jumped out to a 16-0 halftime lead against Livermore (Calif.) and won 20-0 for their third shutout of the season. Lindsey Lee and Rachel Leonardi each finished with four goals and one assist. Previous: 8  

9. San Ramon Valley (Calif.), 7-1

The Wolves outscored their two opponent 32-6 last week to extend their win streak to seven games, following an opener loss to California. Aisling Roberts had three goals and three assists in a 16-0 win over Granada, and Natalie Tobiason needed just four saves to preserve the team’s first shutout. Previous: 9

10. Dakota Ridge (Colo.), 6-0

The Eagles added a 20-10 win over Laguna Hills (Colo.) last week to remain undefeated. Kailee Lammers had five goals, six assists and eight groundballs, and Hannah Krats added six goals and one assist to lead the team. Previous: 10
