Adelphi, the defending national champion which returns two All-Americans in Alison Johnson and Kole Pollock, is the top-ranked team in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Women's Preseason Top 20.

The rankings are published in the January edition of US Lacrosse Magazine, which drops Jan. 2.

Johnson (103 points in 2019) and Pollock, the 2019 national player of the year, return for the Panthers, who have their sights set on a repeat. Head coach Pat McCabe must replace All-American defender Nicki Stanco and senior attacker Lena Riportella, but the talent-rich Panthers should be just fine.

West Chester, the 2019 runner-up, is No. 2. The Golden Rams lost eight seniors but return Tatum Altman and Molly Reinhart to anchor both ends of the field. Le Moyne is No. 3 with new head coach Liz Beville taking over for Kathy Taylor. Queens (N.C.) and Regis are Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
