The Brine/US Lacrosse Players of the Week are named each Tuesday to recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school girls’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage.

Northeast

Cassidy Weeks, Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.)

Weeks finished with two goals and an assist to lead a balanced 8-7 win over previously top-ranked Mount Sinai (N.Y.). She also had two goals and one assist in a win over Miller Place (N.Y.). Weeks now has 17 goals and five assists this season.

Also notable: Katherine Pascale, Baldwinsville (N.Y.); Katie DeSimone, St. Anthony’s (N.Y.)

Mid-Atlantic

Olivia Koch, Lawrenceville (N.J.)

Koch led Lawrenceville with three goals in an 8-7 upset win over Moorestown (N.J.) last week. The sophomore is building upon her freshman year where she scored 14 goals — she already has 11 through eight games. She has scored at least three goals in three different games this season.

Meurling set a new school record for goals in a career and now has 212. For the season, Meurling has 50 goals, 22 assists, 86 ground balls, 24 takeaways and has a 0.73 draw percentage.

Midwest

Riley Dolan, Loyola Academy (Ill.)

With coach John Dwyer relying on a number of underclassmen this season, Dolan’s senior leadership has been an important piece keeping Loyola Academy as one of the Midwest region’s powers. Last week, Dolan scored five times against Naperville North (Ill.). She followed that with a two-goal, one-assist effort in a physical contest against fellow regional power Rockford (Mich.). Dolan signed a national letter of intent to play at Holy Cross.
